King Abdullah Economic City has signed two contracts with Rezaik Abdallah Al-Gedrawi Company for the construction of 1,340 residential apartments and associated infrastructure at the first phase of Al-Shurooq District worth SR 400 million, and SR 135 million for the infrastructure works at Al-Talah Gardens 3. The contracts were signed by Mr. Fahd Al-Rasheed, Managing Director and CEO of KAEC, and Eng. Marzouk Mansoor, General Manager of Rezaik Abdallah Al-Gedrawi Company.

Following the signing Mr. Al-Rasheed said: “KAEC is fast becoming established as the premier destination where residents can enjoy an elevated lifestyle. Development of the city is continuing at a rapid pace and we are very pleased to award these contracts to Rezaik Al-Gedrawi Company who shares our commitment to the highest standards of development and construction.” He went on to say: “In KAEC we are also committed to providing desirable residential units for all income levels and Al-Shurooq along with Al-Talah Gardens districts are the ideal place for young families and independents to find accommodation with surrounding amenities catering specifically to their needs.”

Al-Gedrawi Company will apply the highest quality standards in its operations, which include technologically advanced networks for water, sanitation and storm water drainage, as well as high-speed Internet via fibre-optic technology, a sophisticated system for lighting roads and parks, and other modern facilities that will uniquely characterize the neighbourhoods.

Covering 150,000 sqm of land and containing approximately 1,340 housing units, phase 1 of Al Shurooq development will be ready to welcome new residents in mid-2016. The majority of the units will be 2 bedroom and 3 bedroom apartments, but will also include a number of 1 bedroom and 4 bedroom apartments catering to all family sizes. In addition, apartments will be available to rent or buy and all are provided with adequate parking. The community will feature cultivated parkland and walkways as well as a mosque, primary school, retail area and community centre.

Talah Gardens is located at the heart of KAEC and occupies a total area of 600,000 sqm. The neighbourhood is being developed in multiple phases with lifestyle amenities and extensive green space satisfying the needs of growing families.
