Senior officials from Industrial Committee of Jeddah Chamber of Commerce and Industry explores investment opportunities in KAEC Industrial Valley
– Group of senior officials from the Industrial Committee of Jeddah Chamber of Commerce and Industry recently visited and toured King Abdullah Economic City (KAEC) to identify the most important achievements on the ground accomplished and explore the different investment opportunities available for industrial sector companies in KAEC’s Industrial Valley.
– The delegation led by Mr. Ibrahim Batterjee, Head of the Industrial Committee at JCCI, was received by Mr. Rayan Qutub, CEO of the Industrial Valley, and Senior Executives from KAEC: Mr. Khalid Hindi, Mr. Sameer Al-Ghamdi, Ms. Dania Beidas, Mr. Waseem Khashan and Mr. Omar Faden.
– Mr. Fahd Al-Rasheed, KAEC Group CEO and MD, thanked the JCCI delegates for accepting the invitation, saying: “It is a great pleasure to receive the Industrial Committee of JCCI and we very much appreciate their interest in the Industrial Valley and the opportunity to discuss mutually relevant topics and different investments and business opportunities.”
– Commenting on the visit, Mr. Adnan Mandora, JCCI Secretary General, said: “JCCI is committed to supporting business people and manufacturers as well as keeping them updated about economic projects in the region. Without a doubt, the great developments taking place in KAEC and the promising investment opportunities are a significant stimulant for attracting investors. KAEC embodies the government’s ambitious plan to support the socio-economic development of Kingdom and JCCI is more than happy to be one of early contributors to achieving that objective.”
– Mr. Rayan Qutub, CEO of the Industrial Valley in KAEC, conducted a visual and detailed presentation of KAEC developmental stages and progress. In addition, a tour of the city took place to identify the most important achievements on the ground accomplished in different sites, including the coastal communities’ districts, King Abdullah Port, The World Academy school and the Industrial Valley. Qutub pointed out that the IV is the ideal center for logistics services since it is the access point to 250 million consumers in the Arab world. To date we have attracted 82 national and global industrial companies, eight of which have now commenced production, while 22 are under construction and we are in the process of issuing the necessary permits. Currently we are working on the development of an additional 22 million square meters of industrial land to cover the increase in the number of companies wanting to invest with us, which in turn will create more job opportunities for Saudi youth.”
– Speaking on behalf of JCCI Industrial Committee, Mr. Ibrahim Batterjee stated that the visit is another step in finding ways to enhance continuous cooperation between the JCCI and KAEC at a time when the city is making rapid growth progress in the construction and development of its various projects. Our visit to KAEC was a great opportunity to exchange views and return with a complete perception of the most important industrial investment opportunities in the Industrial Valley where, after observing a number of factories that have begun production, we can see that the city’s economic activities are moving steadily towards the its established goals.
